Love Potion Number Nine

Love Potion Number Nine

It’s pretty encouraging to be able to say that I’m currently on my ninth infusion.  Only 7 more to go in the next 10 weeks! So far, I’m doing okay. I’ve had some neuropathy that I was reticent to tell Dr. Swart about because I didn’t want to delay treatment, but I’m glad I did.  She simply lowered the dosage of Paclitaxel a bit and there will be no delay. Hopefully, this keeps the tingling at bay.

The other thing that I’m on watch for is my hemoglobin count. The lower the count, the more anemic you are; anywhere between 11.5 and 16.0 is considered normal. When I started I was at 14 and by week eight I was at 10.7.  Today I’m at 10.8. My goal is to eat well and exercise enough to keep myself near the low part of normal (it’s a bit of a pipe dream, but you have to have goals).

The last bit of medical update is my upcoming MRI scheduled for mid December. Right before I switch to phase two of the chemotherapy (the four every other week sessions) we check to see how much the tumors have shrunk. No, I don’t get to skip phase two if the offenders are gone–I already asked.

That’s all so far on the medical front.  Thank you for praying for the points of interest. Until we connect again, Happy Thanksgiving!

It has gotten me through a lot since God started shoving it in my face so many times. Have a blessed Thanksgiving. Love & miss you.
